Description

The Champion Wine Garden is a popular destination during the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo each year. And its popularity grows each and every year - so naturally people would like to have assurance that they can find a space to sit and/or hold a party. We have a couple of options for those interested.

TABLES:

We have 20 tables located near our Founder's Tent. This is new this year, we have moved off the grassy hillside into a concrete area. This area does have a view of the band, close to the bathrooms, and has its own bar. In case of rain, we now have a tent to move tables under!

Tables are $50 each and are designed for 0-6 guests. More than six guests in your party? Then please reserve two tables and we'll put the tables together. This is for your guests comfort and the other guests in the area. The $50 entitles you to a table and chairs - you would need to purchase wine from a hostess once you arrive.

Tables are reserved from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm daily - except Saturday/Sunday at which time the table reservations begin at 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm. If all of your party leaves the table before 9:00 pm, we assume you have given up the right to that table and we'll let others sit at it. We do not hold any tables after 9:00 pm. As we said, the Champion Wine Garden is a popular place.

As with the tents, there are no exchanges or returns so please purchase carefully. And it is highly advisable to read all of the FAQ listed below before purchasing so you are fully aware.

TENTS:

Tents are reserved from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm daily - except Saturday/Sunday at which time the tent reservations begin at 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm. As with the tables, there are no exchanges or returns so please purchase carefully. And it is highly advisable to read all of the FAQ listed below before purchasing so you are fully aware.

The Stuart Lang Tent holds approximately 65 guests standing and 45 guests sitting. The tent is located to the right as you enter the Champion Wine Garden and is not in the line of sight of the live band; however, the music will be able to be heard. The cost for this tent is $300.

The Wine Education Seminar Tent holds approximately 65 guests standing and 45 guests sitting. The tent is located to the right as you enter the Champion Wine Garden and is not in the line of sight of the live band. This tent is in a more quiet area of the garden. The cost for this tent is $300.

The TGS Tent holds approximately 30 guests standing and 20 guests sitting. This tent is located to the right as you enter the Champion Wine Garden and is not in the line of sight of the live band. The cost for this tent is $250.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event? There are no age limits to enter the Champion Wine Garden or the seminars; however, you must be 21 years old to drink wine anywhere in the Champion Wine Garden.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event? The Champion Wine Garden is inside the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo grounds. The cost and location of parking can be found on www.rodeohouston.com. Guests to the grounds must purchase a separate ticket to enter. This is not included in the price of the reserved areas.

What can/can't I bring to the event? The Champion Wine Garden is located at Carruth Plaza in NRG Park. Therefore, the ground rules stated on www.rodeohouston.com apply to the Champion Wine Garden. It is a very good idea to watch the weather to ensure you are the most comfortable while walking around the grounds.

Where can I contact the organizer with any questions? Please contact hlsrwineconcierge@gmail.com with your questions. We do our very best to answer your questions quickly.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable? You may give anyone your confirmation but you cannot transfer it online and it must be used for the same date/time/space.

Do I have to bring my printed confirmation to the Champion Wine Garden? This helps us ensure you gain access to your reserved area in a quick and efficient manner. If you forget to print your tickets, we will have a list of those we are expecting.

What is the refund policy? There are no refunds once the tickets are purchased.

The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay? Yes, if someone has given a third party their entrance ticket - we will accept it at the hostess stand.

Can I select my reserved table ahead of time? Unfortunately no, guests are allowed to select their table once they arrive at the hostess stand.

What happens at 9:00 pm when our reservation is officially over? You are welcome to stay and enjoy up to the time the Champion Wine Garden closes that night. However, if you vacate the tent or table to say go into to see the show, we cannot hold your table or tent when you and all your guests depart.

Where is the Hostess Stand? Inside the Champion Wine Garden - watch for signs.

I hear I can sit at my table or tent early on Saturday and Sundays. Is that correct? Yes that is correct! On Saturday and Sunday - you can actually get in to your table or tent at 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm.

Can I rent a tent and then charge others to "attend" in my tent? We understand that you may want to take up a "collection" for friends that are sitting in "your reserved tent" - that is okay. What is not okay is to rent and hold your own wine seminar and charge people to attend, for example.

What about food - who will help me? We do not have the capability to help you set up food service. There are many vendors on the Rodeo grounds that might assist you with this and you are welcome to bring in your food. However, we do not have food serving items or plates, etc. So please plan ahead for your event if you choose to bring in food.

What food is served in the Champion Wine Garden? We sell cheese platters and water in the Champion Wine Garden. And as in the past, we are surrounded by many food vendors on the Rodeo grounds.

I have a guest that drinks beer. Can I bring in beer or soft drinks? Yes you can! We can sell you water bottles but all other beverages will need to be obtained outside the Champion Wine Garden but within the Rodeo grounds. You cannot bring your own beer or soft drinks into the Rodeo grounds.

Can I move the tables and chairs around in the tent I have rented? Yes, it is okay to move around tables and chairs as long as they don't get damaged by weather or neglect. We have limited capabilities when comes to providing you certain number of chairs, types of tables and set up in tents. Please understand that we will do our very best to accommodate reasonable requests.

I have reserved a table and I understand I can have up to six guests at one table. Now, I have another friend coming which is going to take me over the six guests - now what? We have a maximum of six guests per table in order to ensure all of our customers have a great experience and we follow fire code. Adding more chairs to an already crowded table puts that at risk. Please go online and reserve another table - your guests will have more room and be much more comfortable.

I just ordered another reserved table. How can I ensure that this table gets put next to my previously reserved tables? We do our best to watch for multiple table purchases and will automatically put them together whenever possible. The best bet to ensure your tables are as you would like them to be is to arrive at 4:00 pm (or 2:00 pm on Saturday/Sunday) and pick out your tables. Table location is first come, first served.

What if I want to reserve multiple tents and the open area space in between the tents? There doesn't seem to be a place to make that reservation? This requires an email/phone call to work through the details. The Champion Wine Garden is a very popular destination during the Rodeo, it is often difficult to get large reserved parties into the garden without an impact on everyone's experience. Contact hlsrwineconcierge@gmail.com to set up a time to discuss your details.

What happens if it rains? The Show must go on! Through rain, wind, and storms (luckily no snow yet) we have been open in the Champion Wine Garden. We do our best to keep you dry and served. Remember, there are no refunds so we hope you still come out and party with us!
